These terms govern your use of the Ultimate Migration Tool ("the tool"), provided by The Structured Data Company Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By signing in and using the tool, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool.
What the tool is
The Ultimate Migration Tool analyses website migrations, URL restructures, and rebrands using data from your own Google Search Console account, alongside any Screaming Frog crawl data you choose to import. It produces comparison reports, keyword analysis, page-level tracking, and a migration health dashboard.
Your Google account
To use the tool, you sign in with Google and grant read-only access to Search Console (webmasters.readonly). We never request write access, and we never access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google service. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on what's accessed and stored.
Acceptable use
- You must only analyse Search Console properties you own or are authorised to access.
- You must not attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape the tool, or use it to disrupt our infrastructure.
- You must not use the tool for any unlawful purpose.
Eligibility
The tool is intended for business and professional use. By using it, you confirm you are at least 18 years old, and that you have the authority to access and analyse the Google Search Console properties you connect to the tool.
Ownership
We own the tool itself, including its code, design, and branding. You own your own data - your Search Console data, any Screaming Frog crawl files you import, and the reports generated from them. We claim no rights over your data or your reports.
Not professional advice
The tool's reports are data analysis only. They are not legal, financial, or professional SEO advice, and shouldn't be treated as a substitute for your own expert judgement or a qualified professional's guidance when making migration decisions.
Fees
The tool is currently provided free of charge. If this changes in future, we'll update these terms and give notice before any fees apply to your use of the tool.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your misuse of the tool, or from you accessing Search Console properties you weren't authorised to access.
Compliance with Google's API Services User Data Policy
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect.
Entire agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the whole agreement between you and us regarding your use of the tool, and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.
No warranty, and your own judgement
The tool is provided "as is". While we take real care over the accuracy of the calculations (traffic recovery, risk scoring, keyword changes, and so on), the reports are provided for informational purposes to support your own analysis. We don't guarantee the tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose, and we recommend you use your own professional judgement alongside the tool's output when making migration decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Structured Data Company Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the tool, including decisions made based on its reports. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue the tool, or change these terms, at any time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Ending access
You can stop using the tool and revoke its access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. We may also suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
